Manti Temple

Manti Temple at nightSince we had a day without commitments to either our mission (LDS Employment Resource Services Center in Provo) or to the Mt. Timpanogos Temple, we took the opportunity to go to Manti. Our purpose was to attend the temple and then spend the night in Manti. We would have plenty of time to return to Orem for our assignment at the Mt. Timpanogos Temple.

Spiral StaircaseJust being able to go inside the Manti Temple was well-worth the trip. It was our privilege to do Templeview Lodgetwo endowment sessions and one Initiatory session (spending about five hours in the temple). Some new insights into the progressive nature of the endowment came. It is difficult to describe the beauty, the wall murals, wood work (carvings), and historic nature. We asked to see some of the sealing rooms and was taken on a short tour. Someone suggested we ask if we could see the spiral staircase. The workers were very accommodating and took us to the bottom of the staircase on the Northwest corner of the temple. It was very beautiful.

Very pretty. Brad and I need to take some local temple trips. I’m ashamed to say that I haven’t been in the Logan, Manti, or St. George Temples. Not to mention the Bountiful Temple. I’m sure my day will come though. :-)

Great pictures…we are glad you got to go on a mini getaway now that you are old and retired :-). I think I could get used to that lifestyle, way to enjoy it!
